Low self-esteem and confidence

Bad experiences and troubled relationships can lower our self-esteem, making us fearful and denting our self-image.

Those with low self-esteem often compare themselves unfavourably with others and struggle to protect themselves.

Some people may struggle to recover from set-backs, needing an outside source of strength to help things improve. Counselling is useful as it gives you a safe space to explore your low self-esteem, offering an opportunity to notice any early patterns which are repeated in your life.
